This winter and spring, a lively and cheerful event will be happening at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) for a limited time.
RBG’s 2026 floral exhibition is Bloomland in Oz, an amazing journey inspired by the classic tale The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
The RBG Centre transforms into a vibrant world filled with color, warmth, and enchantment this winter, featuring stunning botanical displays, artistic creations, life-size installations, and 25,000 real flowers. Brighten your winter days with fragrant blooms and lush greenery that shine like the Emerald City!
Families and visitors of all ages can take part in this special event – running now until April 6th, but tickets are selling out fast.
Since it’s an indoor event, it’s also a great way to warm up during those cold winter days while enjoying some nature!
As part of the exhibition, RBG showcases Of Wonders Wild and New, a visual arts display where beautiful woodworking reflects themes from the world of Oz.
This stunning exhibition features six talented artists from across Canada as well as Six Nations, Italy, and Spain. They are joined by members of the Ontario Wood Carving Association.
Together these artists explore nature’s beauty and power, our influence on the environment, and the rich splendor of wood.
Bloomland in Oz and Of Wonders Wild and New are available for only a short time; anyone interested should get their tickets before they’re all sold out.
The Garden Shop inside RBG Centre is an excellent place to find gifts and souvenirs related to the event theme.
To enhance your Bloomland in Oz visit even more, check out the Tea House offering “Bloomland Enchanted Tea,” an exclusive dining experience with curated tea towers just for Bloomland in Oz guests. Reservations are required as spots are filling quickly; be sure to book through Open Table before it’s too late!
If you’re looking for an adult-only night out? Check out RBG’s event series “Bloomland in Oz: After Dark (19+),” which is an after-hours experience with music, signature cocktails, and tasty food. For those who enjoy arts and culture within Bloomland don’t miss “Bloomland in Oz: A Journey Through Jazz,” a cozy evening filled with jazz set against “Bloomland in Oz.”
With various events taking place throughout the year, every visit brings something new to enjoy.
