A man from Mississauga is one of two people charged in connection with a late-night break-in and the theft of eight luxury vehicles from a car leasing company in Oakville last week.

Halton Regional Police announced on Monday that the arrests took place last Wednesday, several days after “multiple masked individuals dressed in dark clothing” entered Lockwood Leasing, located at 1141 South Service Rd. W., around 3:30 a. m. on Jan. 11 and stole the vehicles.

While they were inside the dealership, the suspects “obtained keys to eight separate high-end vehicles” before escaping with one Ferrari, two Porsches, two BMWs, and three Mercedes, according to a police news release. Authorities estimated that the total value of the stolen cars was about $2 million.

Police noted that the front window of the business was broken while it was unoccupied and that suspects quickly accessed a lock box containing car keys.

Investigators later discovered four of the stolen vehicles – including the Ferrari along with a BMW, a Mercedes, and one Porsche – “abandoned and unoccupied” in the Greater Toronto Area.

On Jan. 12, Peel Regional Police found another stolen vehicle – this time a Porsche 911 – and apprehended two men. They then informed their Halton counterparts, who arrested the suspects two days later.

Amin Hadj Kaddour, 24, from Mississauga, and Joshua Twa’colagiacomo, also 24 but from Victoria Harbour, ON (east of Midland), are each facing charges of break-and-enter and disguise with intent.

The two were held in custody before being released on bail, police said.

Both individuals are also facing additional charges from Peel police due to their arrests in that area.

Investigators mentioned they are still looking for more stolen vehicles as well as additional suspects involved in this case.

If anyone has information regarding this investigation, they are encouraged to call police at 905-825-4777, ext. 2216 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
