Police are seeking assistance from the public to locate a male suspect linked to a break-in at a construction business in Pickering last October.

According to Durham Police, a man used bolt cutters to cut the chains securing the front gate at 24/7 Vacuum Excavation on 8th Concession Road during the early hours of October 7. The suspect then tried to steal diesel fuel from two different fuel tanks before fleeing the scene in a dark SUV, which had one rear passenger side wheel that was ‘different from the rest.’

The suspect is described as white, standing around 5’7” – 5’8” tall with a heavy build. He was seen wearing a black Under Armour hoodie and black pants.

If you can identify this individual or have any cellphone, dash cam, or surveillance footage related to this incident, please reach out to Det. Obront of the West Crime Team at 1-888-579-1520 x 1905.

You can also share anonymous tips with Durham Regional Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting www. durhamregionalcrimestoppers. ca. Tipsters may qualify for a cash reward.
