Police have confiscated over $2.3 million worth of suspected fentanyl, which they believe could account for around 180,000 dangerous doses. This seizure was part of an investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) into a drug-trafficking operation that allegedly spans from Ontario to Alberta.
According to OPP, four individuals have been charged, with one still wanted across Canada.
The investigation, referred to as Project OLLIE, commenced in May 2025 under the Border Drug Interdiction Task Force (BDIT). Officers pinpointed what they call an interprovincial network that was moving fentanyl between the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Calgary, Alberta.
On February 10, officers carried out a search warrant at a location on Albright Road in Brampton, Ontario. They found and seized 18 kilograms of suspected fentanyl along with multiple cellphones.
