Emergency services and police arrived at the scene of the accident at Nonquon Road and Mary Street shortly after 4 p. m., where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle heading north. The man was transported to a trauma center in Toronto, where he is reported to be stable.

The driver stayed at the scene and worked with law enforcement.

The road was closed for several hours while investigators gathered evidence. The incident is still under investigation.
