London police are looking into a serious accident that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries on Monday evening.

Traffic heading west on Oxford St. W. stopped at a red light at Wharncliffe Rd. N.London police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries on Monday evening.

The incident occurred around 5:15 p. m. ET near the intersection of Wharncliffe Road North and Oxford Street West. The driver involved stayed at the scene, according to police.

The investigation is still active.

Police are urging anyone who was in the vicinity between 5 and 5:30 p. m., who may have seen the crash or has any video footage, to reach out to them.
