Addyson White
Addyson White from Walpole Island First Nation is following her dreams in two areas-lacrosse and dance-while she continues her education.
A first-year student at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, White plays on the women’s lacrosse team there.
The 18-year-old who graduated from Ursuline College has also been chosen for the Firewolves Fury Dance Team, which is the professional dance group for the Oshawa Firewolves of the National Lacrosse League.
White started dancing when she was five years old and spent a decade competing. She’s also passionate about lacrosse and has a strong love for the sport.
The Oshawa Firewolves will celebrate Indigenous Heritage Night on January 3 at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa when they face off against the Ottawa Black Bears.
