York police are looking into a drive-by shooting that hit a house in Richmond Hill for the second time in just three months.
Officers arrived around 5 a. m. Wednesday after getting reports of gunfire on Bryson Drive, near Carville Road and Bathurst Street, according to York police Staff Sgt. Peter Cheung. They discovered damage from bullets on both the house and a vehicle parked in the driveway.
Cheung mentioned that two or more suspects were spotted shooting from a grey SUV before they sped off.
This home was also targeted back in November, he said. In that earlier incident, a dark SUV was seen nearby before multiple shots were fired at the residence and cars parked outside. That case is still being investigated.
No injuries were reported in either shooting, Cheung stated.
Authorities are trying to determine if these incidents are linked. They encourage anyone with information or video footage to step forward. Police are asking residents to check their dashcam and doorbell cameras for any suspicious vehicles around the time of the shootings.
