A 57-year-old motorcyclist from Ottawa has died after a crash with a car on Highway 60 this past Tuesday. At around 4:30 p.m. on September 30, officers from the Renfrew branch of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to the scene of the accident in Horton Township, which led to both directions of the highway being closed temporarily from Butler Road to Cotieville Road. The rider was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The car’s driver was also hospitalized but suffered non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, OPP technical collision investigators and a reconstruction expert went to the site, and their investigation is ongoing, as mentioned in a news release on Wednesday.
