Ontario , James passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 61. He was preceded in death by his father, Rexford Sharpstene, and his brother, Stephen Sharpstene.
James is survived by his wife, Laura; children, Seana (Jeffrey) Caine, Justin Sharpstene, and Anthony Sharpstene (Alexis Smith); mother, Margaret Sharpstene; siblings, Scott (Amy) Sharpstene and Jan Marie (Bill) Reger; along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 4-7 PM on Thursday (May 22) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, located at 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519. A memorial service will take place there on Friday (May 23) at 10:30 AM. After the services, James will be laid to rest in Furnaceville Cemetery.
