Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 10-year-old little one who was badly injured in a crash between Perth and Carleton Place on Saturday has died.

The crash occurred round 4:30 p.m. on Freeway 7 between Drummond Faculty Highway and Drummond Concession 7.

In line with an OPP information launch, an officer was on patrol in a marked cruiser when their car was struck by a pickup truck.

The kid within the truck was airlifted to hospital, whereas two others within the truck have been significantly injured.

The officer was additionally taken to hospital with critical however non-life-threatening accidents, OPP stated.

Police stated the investigation continues.
