The Stratford Perth Centre for Business has begun accepting applications for the upcoming round of the Starter Company Plus Arts and Culture Program.
This session of the program kicks off on January 12, 2027. It’s managed by the Stratford Perth Centre for Business, which serves as the Ontario Small Business Advisory Centre in collaboration with the Government of Ontario. The program is “designed to help artists, creators, and culture-based entrepreneurs across Stratford, St. Marys, and Perth County transform their ideas into thriving small businesses,” according to a statement from Stratford Perth Centre for Business and invest Stratford.
People from a variety of creative fields are welcome to apply. This includes visual arts, performing arts, design, carpentry, food production, tourism, and other culture-focused enterprises.
Chosen applicants will be awarded a $5,000 grant to support their business growth along with receiving business training and personalized coaching sessions. Applications will be accepted until noon on November 20, 2026; due to high interest and limited spots available, it’s best to apply early.
Those selected must participate in five required training sessions:
Monday, January 11 (in person) – 7-9 p. m.
