Police have raised the murder charges to first-degree against two men wanted in relation to a homicide that occurred in a park in Perth, Ont.
Joseph Madore, 34, and Brayton Kennedy, 28, were originally facing second-degree charges but have now been upgraded to first-degree for the murder of Christo Allison Richards. The 34-year-old was discovered with life-threatening injuries at Last Duel Park, located west of the capital city, on April 12.
The authorities have been unable to find the two suspects.
They suspect Madore may be somewhere in British Columbia and could be traveling or camping in secluded backcountry regions. He reportedly has ties to Richmond, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Terrace.
Kennedy, 28, was last spotted in Moncton, N. B., and his current location is unknown.
Police are urging anyone who has seen them or knows their whereabouts to call 911 and avoid approaching them.
Charges have also been filed against Michael Lewis, 46, from Perth for conspiracy to commit murder and Lyna Du, 32, from Ottawa as an accessory after the fact to murder.
