Provincial Police are continuing their efforts to stop drivers in northwestern Ontario who want to go over the speed limit.

During the Thanksgiving long weekend, officers issued tickets to 357 drivers as part of a traffic enforcement effort called Operation Impact.

This initiative across the province aimed at tackling unsafe driving behaviors including speeding, distracted driving, impaired driving, and stunt driving.

Additionally, nine motorists were caught for stunt driving.

Seventeen were cited for distracted driving, while another 26 received tickets for not wearing seatbelts.

Thirteen individuals are now facing charges related to impaired driving.
