ST. THOMAS – Just before 6 p. m. on March 18, three masked individuals broke the front door of Muscat’s Jewellers and began smashing display cases to grab jewelry.
The robbers escaped from the Talbot Street store and quickly drove away in a getaway car, which later crashed into a transport truck on Highway 401 near Cambridge, according to St. Thomas police.
The suspects ran off, but Ontario Provincial Police officers utilized search dogs and aerial support to locate four individuals and recover a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Toronto. Four teens from the Toronto area are facing charges in connection with the robbery.
