Gerald Adad
Previously Manager, Neighbourhood Services – Safe City Mississauga.
PRIOR POLITICAL EXPERIENCE
None. I’ve dedicated myself to public service after spending a decade working in crime prevention and the non-profit sector.
I reside in Ward 8. I’ve lived in Mississauga my entire life and will always be a Goetz Gator (former student at Father Michael Goetz Catholic Secondary School) at heart.
WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN GOALS?
I want to enhance community safety using data-driven engagement strategies that unite Peel Police, non-profits, and local partners with the city leading as the organizer.
I aim to empower residents by forming more Resident Associations, especially for our tenants and those living in condos/apartments/multi-family housing.
Investing in our community’s happiness and well-being is crucial; this means supporting more transit options, community services like recreation centers, libraries, and initiatives that foster community spirit (through arts, culture, and shared spaces).
My vision for Ward 7 isn’t just about addressing current issues but creating solutions alongside the community. I view today’s challenges not merely as opportunities for your vote on Oct. 26 but as chances to build tomorrow’s solutions. I’ll champion projects that help our local economy grow while ensuring cost-saving measures so residents get good value from their taxes; however, I also want us to look forward-toward establishing a place where families can thrive and enjoy accessible community spaces.

PRIOR POLITICAL EXPERIENCE
I’ve been engaged in community advocacy and politics since 1997. This will be my second attempt running for council in Ward 7.
I live in Ward 5 but have proudly operated my business right in the heart of Ward 7 for over two decades.
WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN GOALS?
The people and small businesses of Ward 7 are my priority-they’ve faced immense challenges due to constant gridlock and bureaucratic obstacles. My top goal is cutting through red tape holding up the Hurontario LRT project while securing immediate support for our local business owners. Additionally, I’ll ensure your tax dollars are spent effectively by advocating for a shift towards visible neighborhood safety patrols while maintaining cleanliness on our streets. Lastly, I’ll consistently push for sensible infrastructure that serves everyday families instead of wasting money on flashy projects that overlook real financial difficulties faced at home across our ward.
