Authorities are looking into a plane crash that happened just outside of Fergus, Ont., on Friday morning.
Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that the small general aviation aircraft went down around 10:15 a. m. near Beatty Line and Wellington Road 1.
According to OPP, the plane landed in a field and subsequently caught fire.
The level of injuries remains unclear at this time.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada announced Friday that they have dispatched a team of investigators to the scene to gather details and determine what occurred. This board operates independently to investigate incidents involving air, marine, pipeline, and rail transport.
Drivers are advised to steer clear of the area as police continue their investigation.
