Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have issued a warrant for a fifth suspect in connection with last year’s disappearance and murder of a 63-year-old man from Clarence-Rockland.
Robert Prevost was last seen at his residence in Rockland in February 2025, and he was reported missing the following month. His remains were recovered from the Ottawa River that May, leading to a homicide investigation.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 53-year-old Cathy Percey from Ottawa on a charge of first-degree murder, according to OPP on Tuesday.
Authorities stated that Percey is known to frequent areas in Ottawa, Rockland, and Gatineau, Que. Anyone who sees Percey is advised not to approach her but instead call 911.
Five Suspects Charged with Murder
Currently, four suspects are facing first-degree murder charges related to Prevost’s death, while another suspect faces second-degree murder charges. All five individuals are also facing additional charges including indignity to a body.
A sixth individual is charged with non-homicide offenses such as obstructing justice and being an accessory after the fact.
The police indicate that the investigation is ongoing and encourage anyone with information about the case to reach out to Russell County OPP.
