Halton Regional Police have taken four individuals into custody, including three from Brantford, after looking into a home invasion that occurred on February 24 in Oakville.
Authorities report that three masked individuals, one of whom was armed with a hammer, broke into a house on Settlers Road around 10 a. m. An adult woman faced the suspects who made off with over $70,000 worth of designer clothes before escaping in a Honda CRV.
No guns were displayed and the victim did not suffer any physical harm, according to police.
Investigators utilized various techniques to pinpoint the suspects and executed searches at residences in Brantford on March 13. Officers discovered crack cocaine, fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphone pills, and methamphetamine. They also recovered two loaded Glock handguns, one loaded Glock magazine, and multiple rounds of ammunition.
A Honda CRV reported stolen from Toronto along with license plates stolen from Brantford and items taken during the Oakville home invasion were also retrieved during the operation, police stated.
The authorities have charged a 32-year-old man from Brantford with robbery, breaking and entering, disguise with intent, forcible confinement as well as several drug and weapon charges.
A 32-year-old woman from Brantford is facing charges related to weapons possession, drug trafficking and possessing property obtained by crime.
A 27-year-old man from Brantford has been charged with possessing property obtained by crime along with drug trafficking allegations.
The police also charged a 30-year-old man from Kitchener with robbery, breaking and entering as well as possession of property obtained by crime offenses.
All those accused are being held in custody while awaiting a bail hearing in Milton, according to officials.
