Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Northwest London

One individual has lost their life after a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in the northwest part of the city, according to London police.

Around 8 p. m. on Monday, emergency services were called to Sarnia Road and Castlegrove Boulevard, police reported. A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but unfortunately passed away later, as stated by the authorities.

Roads in the vicinity that were closed for emergency response have now reopened, police confirmed. All drivers involved remained at the scene following the incident, according to police.

The accident is under investigation by the London police road safety team, with inquiries still active as of Tuesday.

Authorities are requesting anyone who was around between 7:45 p. m. and 8:20 p. m., who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage or surveillance from homes or businesses, to reach out at 519-661-5670.

Bystanders Intervene as Driver Enters Parade Route: OPP

A 65-year-old man faces charges for dangerous driving after reports surfaced of a driver going around barriers on a street closed for a parade in Huron-Kinloss.

An individual from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh was charged after it was reported that a vehicle was “driving down a closed roadway onto a parade route” on Sept. 19, as per Ontario Provincial Police in South Bruce’s news release.

“The vehicle had driven around road closure barricades, but thanks to several bystanders the driver was stopped until officers arrived. Upon police arrival, the driver was placed under arrest. There were no injuries reported from the incident,” police said.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 9 in Walkerton, according to authorities.
