Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) report that a man from Essex has been charged following a two-vehicle accident that occurred over the weekend.
Police were called just before 12:30 p. m. on Sunday to South Malden Road, close to Gesto Side Road.
One of the drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while no one in the other vehicle was injured.
The 36-year-old driver now faces charges including impaired driving, dangerous driving, having an open liquor container while driving, driving without a licence, driving with a suspended licence, and refusing to comply with a demand.
This driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
The charges are yet to be proven in court. The individual is scheduled to respond in Windsor court on November 3.
