It is with great sorrow that the family of Raymond Arvi Koski (Ray) shares the news of his passing at TBRHSC on September 14th, 2026 after a short illness.
Ray was born on May 19, 1947, and spent his childhood on the family farm in Suomi. After finishing Selkirk High School, he began working as a mechanic for the MTO and later dedicated 26 years to the City of Thunder Bay Fleet Services until he retired.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years, Diana (Kaukinen), their son Ryan, and his adored grandchildren Kaitlyn and Carter. He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings Don (Janet), Elaine and their families, along with other relatives and friends.
Ray was predeceased by his son Derek, as well as his parents Vieno and Arvi. He also lost siblings Anita Raymer, Elvi Holmquist, Ronnie Johnson and in-laws Ilona and Reino Kaukinen.
Ray is now peacefully resting alongside his son Derek. A private cremation has taken place, and donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
