The Royal Canadian Air Force team plans to perform a non-aerobatic display above the Kingston waterfront starting around 5 p. m., with the action focused on Confederation Park.
The Snowbirds mentioned that this display will showcase a non-aerobatic version of their routine, emphasizing the team’s skillful flying and formations.
This Kingston event comes as the Snowbirds near the conclusion of their current chapter. The team is set to retire its fleet of CT-114 Tutor aircraft after the 2026 season, ending more than sixty years of service for these planes.
Since their formation in 1971, the Snowbirds have been flying the Tutor. This aircraft was first introduced into Royal Canadian Air Force service back in the early 1960s as a jet trainer.
The display in Kingston is expected to provide people along the waterfront with an excellent view of the team, with Confederation Park highlighted by the Snowbirds as one of the top spots in town.
After their performance, the team will make a quick refueling stop at Kingston’s Norman Rogers Airport before heading back to Gatineau, Que.
The Snowbirds are encouraging residents and visitors to come down to the waterfront, find a place along the park, and watch this final show in Kingston.
This appearance is being organized together with both the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Royal Military College of Canada.
