Margaret peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Monday, September 7, 2026 at the age of 79. She transitioned into glory with her husband Ted by her side. Born on September 19, 1947 in Brantford, Ontario to Harold Charles Federick Wright and Isabel Jean Gardner, Marg lived a full life.

For 58 years, Marg had lovingly (if sometimes reluctantly) accompanied her devoted husband on many of “Ted’s Excellent Adventures.” She cherished her children Bryan (Jennifer), Heather (Glenn), and Jeremy. Her grandchildren Jayden (Amy), Madelyn, Zachary, Tyrian, Ciana, and Teo will miss her greatly, as will her great-grandchildren Caleb and Ada. She was a dear sister to Lyle (Joanne). Marg’s memory will forever be held dear by her extended family and numerous friends.

Although Marg primarily dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom, later in life she took on the role of a teacher assistant with the Algoma District School Board, helping students with individual needs.

For many years, Marg was an active member of the Island Bible Chapel (IBC), serving in various capacities including leading the women’s committee. A lover of reading, she practically built the IBC library with books she donated. Marg enjoyed gathering with friends during Ladies’ Bible Study and missed them when she and Ted traveled to Florida each year.

Marg joined Ted on mission trips for many years to Central America. The women in Honduras and Nicaragua adored her and affectionately called her la reina (“the queen”).

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses who provided exceptional care at Sault Area Hospital-especially Marg’s renal nurses Karen, Tammy, and Myra. The home support over the past six months from Trefry Centre in Richards Landing and Ontario Helps at Home (Bayshore nurses, PSWs, Physio etc.) has been outstanding.

Friends and family are invited to visit at the Island Bible Chapel (1331 Littleton St., Richards Landing) on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 7:00 p. m. until 9:00 p. m., as well as Friday morning from 9:45 a. m. to 10:45 a. m. before the service. The celebration of Marg’s life will take place at the Island Bible Chapel on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:00 a. m., followed by interment at St. Joseph Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be served back at Island Bible Chapel afterward. Memorial donations can be made to two ministries that meant so much to Marg: Aush-Bik-Koong Bible Camp (https://campabk. com/donate/)) or Campamento El Encuentro Bible Camp in Honduras (please make cheques payable to Island Bible Chapel or donate online through https://islandbiblechapel. com/donate).). Arrangements have been entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd., 705-945-7758). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. northwoodfuneral. com
