York Regional Police are on the lookout for a suspect wanted for attempted murder following a brutal road rage incident in Richmond Hill last June.
Officers were dispatched to a parking lot near Yonge Street and May Avenue on June 21, 2025, after receiving reports of an ongoing assault.
Upon their arrival, they found a male victim suffering from stab wounds.
Though his injuries were serious, they were not life-threatening.
Investigators later discovered that the attack was triggered by an earlier road rage encounter with one of the suspects, who had initially left but returned with two other men.
The three suspects allegedly attacked the victim, with one of them stabbing him.
One suspect was arrested at the scene while the other two managed to escape.
A second suspect was apprehended on May 31, 2026.
Authorities are now trying to locate the third suspect, identified as Seyed-Houman Mirmoghtadaei, age 30, with no fixed address.
He is wanted for attempted murder and aggravated assault.
“He is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in,” a police release states. “Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.”
Hamid-Reza Safi-Poor, 54, from Toronto, and Ali Kia, 59, from Markham are the other two suspects already arrested and charged.
Both face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and uttering threats.
Kia also faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
