A Windsor Police Service officer is now facing three additional criminal charges related to an ongoing investigation into breach of trust allegations that started over three years ago.

Kenneth Campo, 45, from Essex County, was charged on Aug. 28 with two more counts of breach of trust, along with unauthorized use of a computer and attempting to obstruct justice.

The Ontario Provincial Police are managing the case after Windsor Police Service requested the OPP to step in for an investigation in August 2023.

The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch has been conducting the inquiry, which has been ongoing for more than three years.

<p Campo initially faced a breach of trust charge back in April 2026.

According to the OPP, Campo was arrested and charged on April 7 with breach of trust under Section 122 of the Criminal Code. He was later released from custody and was set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

The new charges indicate a broader scope of allegations being looked into, police report.

Campo now faces a total of three counts for breach of trust, as well as charges for unauthorized computer use under Section 342.1 of the Criminal Code and attempting to obstruct justice under Section 139(2).

Following these latest charges, he has been released from custody and will return to court on Sept. 22.

Windsor police have stated that Campo is currently suspended without pay.
