We are heartbroken to share the news of the peaceful passing of Therese Derdaele-Gadoury (Robak) on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. She was surrounded by her loving family at the age of 80. Theresa was a devoted wife to Michel Gadoury. She leaves behind her loving children, Patrick (Lori) Robak Jr., Dan (Paula) Robak, Anne (Scott) Tazzman, Nicole (James) Carr, Gerard (Michelle) Gadoury, Paul Gadoury, Rose Gadoury, Marc (Joy) Gadoury, and Philippe Gadoury. As a proud Grand-maman and Mémè to 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, they brought her immense happiness. Theresa was also a dear sister to Rose (Don) Bates, Frances (Mary) Derdaele, Claudette Derdaele (Hugh Farquhar), and she was predeceased by her brother Marcel Derdaele who is survived by Margaret. She is remembered as a wonderful sister-in-law to Gerard (Lise) Gadoury, Therese Gadoury, Richard (Marianne Perron-Gadoury) Gadoury, and late Jacques Vallière who is survived by Rita. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mae Derdaele. Her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends will feel her absence greatly. People will remember Theresa for her strong faith in God, commitment to family life, and big heart. As an active member of the Catholic Women’s League, she loved cooking and gardening while helping others. Her love for family and community along with her deep Catholic faith shaped who she was and inspired those around her. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor on Sunday August 30th from 2:00 p. m. until 5:00 p. m. then again from 7:00 p. m. until 9:00 p. m. There will be parish prayers starting at 7:00 p. m. A Funeral Mass honoring Theresa’s life will take place at St. Anne Parish in Tecumseh on Monday August 31st at 11:00 a. m., with visitation beginning at the church an hour earlier at 10:00 a. m. Interment will follow afterward at Ste-Anne Cemetery.
