This week, advance voting is happening in Ontario byelections for Scarborough Southwest and York-Simcoe.
Voters can head to advance voting spots from Wednesday to Friday between 10 a. m. and 8 p. m.
On election day, which is set for Sept. 3, voters can also cast their ballots at their designated voting sites.
The advance voting locations in Scarborough Southwest include:
Birchmount Community Centre, 93 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough. Cliffcrest Public Library, 3017 Kingston Rd., Scarborough. Don Montgomery Community Recreation Centre, 2467 Eglinton Ave E., Scarborough. West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre, 313 Pharmacy Ave., Scarborough.
A byelection was triggered in Scarborough Southwest when Doly Begum, an NDP MPP, stepped down to run for the federal Liberals. She won a federal byelection in the area back in April.

<p In York-Simcoe, the advance voting spots are:
East Gwillimbury Sports Complex, 1914b Mount Albert Rd., Sharon. Multi-Use Recreation Complex (MURC), 261 Garrett Styles Dr., Keswick. St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 2940 Sideroad 10, Bradford. Sutton Area, 48 Hawkins St., Sutton West.
A byelection was called in York-Simcoe after Caroline Mulroney resigned as a PC MPP and Ontario cabinet minister back in June to start a new chapter of her life.

If you want to vote in the Ontario byelection, you need to be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario.
You can use Elections Ontario’s voter information service to find out where and when you can vote. You can also check if you’re registered or update your info on the voters list.
On Aug. 5, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced the byelections for Scarborough Southwest, York-Simcoe and Hamilton East-Stoney Creek.
