The City of St. Catharines is set to receive $3.6 million from Telus as part of the company’s updated $24 billion investment plan for Ontario.

This funding will help improve productivity and bolster both the local and national economy.

It includes ongoing targeted wireline and customer-focused investments aimed at enhancing network reliability for residents, businesses, and organizations while supporting innovation in Ontario.

Additionally, it further backs Telus Internet, Mobility, Tech, and Health for Good programs. These initiatives have successfully connected 263,000 individuals throughout the province.

This investment will facilitate substantial improvements to the province’s network infrastructure and operations through 2030.

It aims to expand wireless and Pure Fibre connectivity, strengthen Canadian-controlled AI infrastructure, and promote healthier communities via digital inclusion, education, and healthcare initiatives.
