MWO (Ret’d) Darrell L. Spence, MSC, CD
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Darrell’s passing. He dedicated 27 years to serving Canada as a Combat Engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Throughout his impressive career, he showed commitment, professionalism, and quiet strength while serving his nation. Outside of his military life, Darrell will be fondly remembered as a caring husband, devoted father, loving son, and supportive brother. His warmth, honesty, and constant love for his family made an impact on everyone who knew him. Darrell is survived by his wife Virginia; his children Dylan and Jillian; his parents Doug and Faye Spence from Springhill, Nova Scotia; his brother Don (Kim) Spence; his sister Angela (Paul) Morris; his in-laws Tom and Coreen Dawson from Tidnish, Nova Scotia; along with several dear nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins. He leaves behind not just family but also friends from the club and military who were fortunate to have crossed paths with him. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion in Deep River at 50 Mc Elligott Drive on July 11 at 4:00 p. m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Valley Funeral Home in Deep River.
