ALDEA- Florence (Nee Hatnean)
With heavy hearts, the family of Florence Aldea shares the news of her passing. She peacefully left us on July 9, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loved ones.
Florence was predeceased by her dear husband, Terry John Aldea (2023), as well as her parents, Nora and George Hatnean. She is survived by her two sons, Terry (Jasna) Aldea and David Aldea (Patrick Pilkington), along with her granddaughters Ashley Aldea and Stephanie Aldea. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will also miss her greatly.
A dedicated legal assistant at the esteemed Honigman law firm in Detroit for many years, she took pride in her work. Florence loved spending time in her garden, enjoyed shopping trips, and looked forward to escaping the cold winters for sunny Florida. She never turned down a cold Manhattan or a glass of white wine when shared with good company. A friend to many, she spread warmth and laughter wherever she went.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to her two devoted PSWs, Krystal Bennett and Lileth Hamada, for their compassionate care and kindness. They are also grateful to the staff at Windsor Regional Met and Ouellette campus.
Visiting hours will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL(Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519) 253-7235 on Sunday July 12, 2026 from 5 to 9pm. Prayers will take place at 7pm. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Monday July 13, 2026 at Descent of the Holy Ghost Romanian Orthodox Church (2895 Seminole Street) from 9am until funeral services begin at 10am.
