Barrie

In Barrie, the Canada Day celebrations are getting bigger with the return of Canada Day On the Move, which brings free, family-friendly activities to local parks alongside the main events at Centennial Park and fireworks on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Canada Day On the Move will host three-hour pop-up events at Lampman Lane Park from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m., and Painswick Park from 3 to 6 p. m., featuring free entertainment for families. Activities include an animal education show by Speaking of Wildlife, face painting, busker performances, interactive games, inflatables, live music and much more.

The festivities at Centennial Park kick off at noon with a Food Truck Festival, live entertainment, and a special performance by the Ultimutts Animal Actors Show. The Moonwalk Entertainment Family Zone will also be present with paid attractions like inflatables, games, face painting, fun food options and additional family-friendly activities.

Downtown will come alive with Open Air Dunlop presented by the Downtown Barrie BIA in Meridian Place. Dunlop Street will be closed to traffic between Maple Avenue and Mulcaster Street. The Open Air Dunlop event includes various activities, vendors and live entertainment.

The evening wraps up with a fireworks display around 10 p. m., viewable from several locations along Barrie’s waterfront. Heritage Park will close for safety during this time. If it rains on that day, fireworks will take place on Friday, July 3.

10 am to 1 pm – Canada Day On the Move at Lampman Lane Park (59 Lampman Lane)

10 am to 11 pm – Open Air Dunlop – Canada Day Celebrations by the Downtown Barrie BIA (Dunlop Street)

12 pm to 10 pm – Canada Day activities including food trucks and entertainment at Centennial Park (61, 65, 75, 79 Lakeshore Drive)

3 pm to 6 pm – Canada Day On the Move at Painswick Park (231 Ashford Drive)

10 pm – Fireworks Show (waterfront)

On July 1st, Barrie Transit will run on a Sunday schedule. After the fireworks finish up around 10:30 p. m., buses will leave from both Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal and Downtown Hub: Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal: Routes 7A, 7B, 8A-NB, 8A-SB ,8B-SB ,12A ,12B , TOD-C & TOD-D. Downtown Hub: Routes 2B ,10 ,11 ,100 ,101 & TOD-B.

Both Chase Mc Eachern Way Parking Lot and Centennial Beach Lot (south end) will be closed on July 1 for Canada Day celebrations.

Blue Mountain

Join us for a fun-filled Canada Day celebration at Blue Mountain! Enjoy all-day family fun with live entertainment including roaming performers as well as magic shows and music. End your day with evening concerts featuring Bernadette Connors duo followed by headliner The Wild High and an exciting fireworks display!

Bracebridge

Celebrate together in Downtown Bracebridge all day long!

Noon -5pm – Music in Memorial Park hosted by Bracebridge Rotary Club; return later for our weekly Bandshell Concert Series starting at 6:30pm.
4pm-9pm – Street Party along Manitoba Street
9:45 – Fireworks over Bracebridge Bay!

Bradford

Everyone is invited to join Bradford West Gwillimbury’s celebrations happening Wednesday July 1 at Bradford & District Memorial Community Centre! Festivities start at 4:00pm featuring music & entertainment as well as official ceremonies including annual Civic Awards presentation followed by impressive fireworks show wrapping up around 10pm​!

Come celebrate Canada Day at Canada’s Wonderland where you can enjoy thrilling rides throughout the day leading up to spectacular nighttime fireworks display on July 1!
