York Region police are looking into a potential connection between two shootings that occurred overnight, one in Markham and the other in Aurora.

The first incident took place at a residence on Lee Avenue, close to Kennedy Road and 14th Avenue. Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after 1:30 a. m. on Friday.

Authorities report that an unknown suspect or suspects shot into the home. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

About two hours later, just after 3:30 a. m., law enforcement was called to Wellington Street and Mc Donald Drive near Yonge Street in Aurora.

They say shots were fired by one or more suspects at both the house and an unattended vehicle.

A family of four to five people was inside the house during this time, which included two to three children of school age. No injuries were reported here either.

As of now, investigators have not provided any descriptions of the suspects involved.
