A police memorial service for Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Brandon Malcolm is scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Malcolm lost his life in a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle last Monday, on Highway 401 in Cobourg, east of Toronto.
The private service will take place at the Cobourg Community Centre located at 750 D’Arcy Street.
Although the visitation and funeral are not open to the public, information about a public livestream will be provided as the service date approaches.
OPP Commissioner Thomas Carrique mentioned Monday night that the 33-year-old Malcolm had joined the provincial police force in 2020.
He was also part of the force’s precision motorcycle team, known as the Golden Helmets.
