Human remains have been discovered close to a neighbourhood in Sarnia.
According to police, a construction team was digging along Lakeshore Road, near Hillcrest Drive, when they unexpectedly unearthed the remains on Wednesday. That’s not far from Lake Huron.
The Ontario Coroner’s Office has confirmed that they are indeed human, as stated by police.
Work in the area has been paused for now.
Authorities mention that their investigation is ongoing – but at this point, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything criminal about the discovery.
