Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have taken a Wheatley man into custody following a raid that took place early Friday morning.
The Essex County OPP Street Crime Unit, along with the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, carried out a search warrant around 5 a. m.
They seized what is believed to be cocaine, as well as Canadian and U. S. cash, among other items. The total worth of everything taken was estimated at $5,000.
The 37-year-old faces charges for cocaine possession with intent to distribute, possession of criminal proceeds under $5,000, and violating a release order.
These charges have yet to be proven in court.
The individual is being held for a bail hearing in Windsor court.
