Authorities are reaching out to the community for assistance as they look into the tragic death of Nancy Grewal, a resident of Windsor, Ont.
The Sikh social media influencer was fatally stabbed nine days ago outside a home on Todd Lane in nearby La Salle, where she was employed as a personal support worker.
A statement released Thursday by the La Salle Police Service includes information from an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) news release. They are asking for any details, dashcam footage, or surveillance video from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Todd Lane that night.
Around 9:30 p. m. ET on March 3, La Salle police responded to reports indicating that Grewal was in serious medical distress. Upon arrival, they discovered her suffering from severe injuries consistent with a stabbing. She was rushed to the hospital but sadly passed away.
Investigators stated that as she left the residence, an individual confronted her and stabbed her “multiple times before fleeing the scene.”

Detectives think that this individual escaped in a vehicle parked along a laneway on 10th Street’s extension, just north of Todd Lane. The OPP canine unit also participated in efforts to locate the suspect.
“In the days that followed, the La Salle Police Service executed search warrants at the residence on Todd Lane and the victim’s residence in Windsor. The occupants of the residence on Todd Lane are not persons of interest,” police said.
“Investigators believe this is an isolated incident but encourage community members to stay alert and report any suspicious activity immediately.”
This past Wednesday, La Salle police sought help from OPP for their investigation. It is now under OPP Criminal Investigation Branch’s direction alongside assistance from both the Office of Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The authorities indicated that they’re particularly interested in identifying any vehicles parked along a gravel laneway located north of Todd Lane at 10th Street on March 3 between 8:45 p. m. and 9:30 p. m.
“This vehicle may have been visible to drivers traveling northbound on 10th Street towards Todd Lane,” Thursday’s OPP release stated.
Investigators also want to hear from anyone who saw vehicles parked there during weeks leading up to March 3.
