Owen Riegling keeps making his hometown proud.
The Mildmay-native has received four nominations for the 2026 CMAOntario Awards, including Single of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Fan’s Choice, and Songwriter of the Year. The nominations for Single and Songwriter of the Year are for Riegling’s popular track “Taillight this Town,” which he co-wrote with Kyle Sturrock and James Bell.
At last year’s awards show, the 27-year-old singer-songwriter won more trophies than any other nominee, taking home five out of six categories he was nominated in. He also secured Album of the Year at the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) for his album “Bruce County (From The Beginning).”
This year’s CMAOntario Awards are set to take place at Port Credit Memorial Arena in Mississauga on May 31. They will be hosted by multi CMAOntario, CCMA, and SOCAN Award winner Jason Blaine along with Country Nights host Sam Mc Daid.
Tickets for the 14th annual event will go on sale at 11 a. m. on April 6.
