La Salle police have reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police for assistance with the town’s first homicide case in four years.

On the night of March 3, officers responded to a call at a residence on Todd Lane, where they discovered a woman who had been stabbed multiple times. The victim, 43-year-old Nancy Grewal, later died from her injuries at Windsor Regional Hospital.

The police have executed search warrants both at the residence and at Grewal’s home in Windsor. Those living at the Todd Lane home are not considered suspects in this case.

The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch. The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are also providing support.

On Sunday, OPP shared footage of a suspect’s vehicle through a social media post.

Authorities are still seeking any dashcam or surveillance video from a vehicle that might have parked on a gravel laneway on the north side of Todd Lane at 10th Street between 8:45 p. m. and 9:30 p. m.

Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who noticed any vehicles parked in that lane prior to March 3.

If you have any information about this investigation, please contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122, La Salle Police at 519-969-5210 ext. 2531, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or visit www. catchcrooks. com.
