La Salle police have reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police for assistance with the town’s first homicide case in four years.
On the night of March 3, officers responded to a call at a residence on Todd Lane, where they discovered a woman who had been stabbed multiple times. The victim, 43-year-old Nancy Grewal, later died from her injuries at Windsor Regional Hospital.
The police have executed search warrants both at the residence and at Grewal’s home in Windsor. Those living at the Todd Lane home are not considered suspects in this case.
The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch. The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are also providing support.
On Sunday, OPP shared footage of a suspect’s vehicle through a social media post.
