A man is facing more charges related to a sexual assault investigation in Whitby, Ontario, according to police.
Durham Regional Police reported that in January, they started looking into 55-year-old James Chatterpaul, who owns Chatterpaul’s restaurant on Brock Street North.
Authorities stated that a victim claimed Chatterpaul had touched them inappropriately while at work.
As a result, the accused has been charged with sexual assault.

Officers mentioned that four additional people have now come forward with similar allegations.

He was released under an undertaking. “Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims,” police stated in a news release. The force added that Chatterpaul “often” goes by the names ‘Chef Chad’ or ‘Chad.’ They also mentioned he was previously employed at a restaurant in Oshawa.
