Authorities are on the lookout for two individuals following a serious assault that occurred at a residence in Whitby last Friday.
Durham Regional Police have identified one suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. A second individual, who has not yet been named by investigators, is also being pursued.
Tristan Kalijundic, 39, from Whitby, is wanted by the police on a charge of aggravated assault.
Officers were dispatched to conduct a wellness check at a home near Annes Street and Jermyn Street on August 29. Upon arrival, they found a man with severe injuries. He was taken to a trauma center in Toronto and is currently in stable condition.
Investigators believe this incident is isolated and confirmed there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
The second suspect is described as white, with a medium build, standing between 5’8” and 5’10”, and estimated to be around 40 years old, according to police.
