Kirkfield, ON (63.1 km WNW of epicenter) [Map] / Moderate shaking (MMI V) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : The quake was preceded by a loud “BOOM”! and then significant house shaking for around 5 seconds. At first, I thought it was caused by a low flying military plane breaking the sound barrier. | 5 users found this interesting.  

Brechin (24.6 km W of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / 30-60 s : There were house vibrations along with a loud noise as if the ground or lake was shifting or like a heavy snowplow was about to come through my home! | 4 users found this interesting.  

Kirkfield (41.7 km SE of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 2-5 s : I thought the ice had slipped off the roof because things on my desk and shelves started rattling and I felt it in the floor | 3 users found this interesting.  

Lindsay (71.8 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Light shaking (MMI IV) / rattling, vibrating / 30-60 s : This woke me from deep sleep as my bed shook back and forth. My fiancé felt his chair and desk moving on the second floor too along with a loud rumbling noise that continued for some time.| 2 users found this interesting.  

Pickering (81.8 km S of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) : There was very weak shaking in the upper level of our home. It shook my bed while I heard a loud noise outside at the same time; even closet doors began to shake.| 2 users found this interesting.

Beaverton Ontario(103.5 km SSW of epicenter)[ Map]/Strong shakening(MMI VI)/complex motion difficult to describe/5-10s: It hit suddenly without warning. A very loud rumbling noise occurred.
