The province’s fire marshal is looking into the case of a man who was discovered dead in a limousine that caught fire last week in Whitby, Ont.

Durham Region police report that officers arrived at the scene near Consumers Drive and Brock Street just before 9 a. m. on Thursday to respond to a fire emergency.

They mentioned that firefighters were already on site for the vehicle fire when they found someone deceased inside the limo.

The victim has been identified as Jason Webber, age 46.

An autopsy revealed no signs of foul play and it appears his injuries stemmed from the fire itself.

The investigation into what caused the fire is still ongoing according to police.
