Two men from eastern Ontario are facing charges following an investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police into stolen goods in South Frontenac.
The OPP reported that its Community Street Crime Unit began looking into reports of stolen items earlier this month.
Police mentioned they executed a search warrant at a property in South Frontenac on Friday. Officers found about 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine; around two grams of suspected fentanyl; various pills; stolen items including a camper trailer, an all-terrain vehicle, a dirt bike, and several hand tools; a homemade conducted energy weapon; about $1,000 in Canadian cash; and digital scales.
The police arrested Timothy Reid, 38, from South Frontenac. He’s facing multiple charges such as two counts of possession of property obtained through crime over $5,000; possession of prohibited devices or ammunition; along with three counts for possessing a Schedule 1 substance with intent to traffic.

Police said Derek Veley , 57 , who resides in Greater Napanee , was also taken into custody. He faces charges for failing to comply with a release order. P >
Cyclist dead in Whitby crash
A cyclist has tragically died following an accident in Whitby on Friday, according to Durham Regional Police.
Authorities responded to reports concerning a collision involving a 68-year-old cyclist who suffered injuries after crashing into a parked trailer near Coronation Rd. and Lyndebrook Rd. around 12:30 p. m. on Aug. 21. P >
Police discovered that the injured man had life-threatening wounds. He was transported to trauma center located in Toronto where he later succumbed to his injuries. P >
Investigators are still looking into what caused this crash. A man charged due to child sexual exploitation case in Peel
A man based in Peel Region is now facing charges connected with an investigation into child sexual exploitation led by Ontario Provincial Police.
The OPP indicated that their Child Sexual Exploitation Unit worked alongside their Caledon detachment as well as Digital Forensics Unit when they carried out a search warrant at his home located north of Brampton in Inglewood on August 12th where multiple electronic devices were seized.
The police reported that James Gilbert , aged 53 , living in Inglewood , was arrested for two counts related to possessing child sexual abuse materials. P >
The police stated he was released after appearing for bail hearing scheduled before court ; he’s set for another appearance before Ontario Court of Justice situated in Orangeville on September 10th. P >
