Station Gallery in Whitby is hosting a new exhibition called The Oh Canada! Project.

This exhibition encourages artists to share their interpretations of the Canadian flag through their artwork.

An open call for submissions starts on May 1, with the exhibition set to be displayed just in time for Canada Day. Organizers promise a strong homage to national identity, unity, and creative expression.

Artists will utilize painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media to showcase their distinct viewpoints on this enduring symbol.

“This project is more than an art exhibition-it’s a reflection of what it means to be Canadian,” says Natasha Downes, Executive Director of Station Gallery. “The flag represents our shared history, values, and hopes for the future. We’re excited to see how artists interpret this iconic emblem in new and meaningful ways.”

Artists from all backgrounds and styles are welcome to submit their work for consideration.

Submissions will be accepted from May 1 until June 13. The exhibition will be open from June 23 until August 29. An Opening Reception will take place on June 26 at Station Gallery, located at 1450 Henry Street in Whitby. Attendance is free, though donations are appreciated.
