The Waterloo Fire Department and local police rushed to a house fire on Monday morning.

As reported by the Waterloo regional police, a blaze at a residence on Seawind Trail led to road closures at both ends of Chesapeake Drive.

Authorities mentioned that there was no one inside the house when the fire started, prompting the evacuation of nearby homes as firefighters began their work.

No injuries have been reported due to this incident.

The City of Waterloo announced that Seawind Trail reopened for traffic after 3 p. m. Monday while some fire crews stayed in the area.

Motorists are advised to expect delays as clean-up continues.
