Police seized three firearms, ammunition, electronic devices, and other items after executing search warrants at two separate locations
Two people from Wasaga Beach are facing several sex crime charges after a joint investigation by Dufferin and Huronia West OPP.
On Wednesday, search warrants were carried out in Wasaga Beach and Orangeville. Authorities confiscated three firearms, ammunition, electronic devices, and other related items.
A 30-year-old man is charged with the following:
Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
Sexual assault
Sexual interference (two counts)
Sexual exploitation
Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age
Assault
Assault causing bodily harm (choke, suffocate or strangle)
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
Assault with a weapon
Makes, prints, publishes or possesses for the purpose of publication any child sexual abuse and exploitation material
Sexual assault with a weapon
Unauthorized possession of a firearm (three counts)
Failure to comply with an undertaking
The man was held for a bail hearing.
A 29-year-old woman has been charged with the following:
Sexual assault
Sexual interference
Sexual exploitation
Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age
Assault causing bodily harm (choke, suffocate or strangle)
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm​

The woman is scheduled for court on February 10 in Orangeville.
The identities of those charged have not been released yet, and police mentioned that no further details will be shared at this time.
