Emergency crews arrived at the area of River Road West and Pauline Drive around 3:30 a. m. this morning; the victim sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.

Provincial police are on the lookout for two suspects after a stabbing occurred early this morning inside a home in Wasaga Beach.

At about 3:30 a. m. on Friday, Huronia West OPP officers along with Simcoe County paramedics responded to reports of a male who had been stabbed with an “edged weapon.”

The investigation showed that the suspects entered the victim’s residence, leading to an “altercation” that resulted in the victim getting hurt. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that aren’t life-threatening.

Police report that the suspects were not found in the vicinity following a search conducted by members of the OPP emergency response team and their canine unit.

Investigators are hoping that someone from the public can assist in identifying the suspects.

One suspect is described as a white male sporting a buzz cut, wearing jeans, a dark sweater, and a toque.

The second suspect is described as a female with tanned skin, black hair, and tattoos on her arm.

The OPP believes this incident is isolated and does not pose any threat to public safety.

If anyone has information or camera footage relevant to this investigation, they are encouraged to contact Huronia West OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
