Emergency crews arrived at the intersection of River Road West and Pauline Drive around 3:30 a. m. today; the victim sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.
Provincial police are on the lookout for two suspects involved in a stabbing that occurred early this morning inside a home in Wasaga Beach.
At approximately 3:30 a. m. on Friday, Huronia West OPP officers and Simcoe County paramedics were called to the vicinity of River Road West and Pauline Drive after receiving reports of a male who had been stabbed with an “edged weapon.”
The investigation indicated that the suspects had entered the victim’s residence, leading to an “altercation” that resulted in the victim’s injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Police stated that after conducting a search in the area with assistance from OPP’s emergency response team and canine unit, they were unable to locate the suspects.
Authorities hope that community members can assist in identifying these suspects.
One suspect is described as a white male with a buzz cut, dressed in jeans, a dark sweater, and wearing a toque.
The second suspect is described as a female with tanned skin, black hair, and tattoos on her arm.
The OPP believes this incident is isolated and poses no ongoing threat to public safety.
