Tragic Pedestrian Accident in Wasaga Beach

Provincial police are looking into a deadly accident in Wasaga Beach.

Around 8:15 p. m. on Saturday, Huronia West OPP officers were called to a crash involving a pedestrian and a pickup truck.

This incident took place on River Road West, situated between Village Gate Drive and Bells Park Road.

A 73-year-old resident from Scarborough lost their life in the crash.

Simcoe County Paramedic Services, along with the OPP traffic incident management and enforcement team, assisted with the response and investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone who has information or video footage of the event to reach out to Huronia West OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or online.
