A woman has lost her life and 10 others were injured following a two-car crash in Vaughan on Saturday night, according to York Regional Police.
Emergency responders, including police, fire crews, and paramedics, arrived at the scene around 11 p. m. near Highway 27 and Rutherford Road, as noted in a post on X.
One of the vehicles caught fire, but all passengers managed to escape that car, the post stated.
The deceased victim was a 69-year-old passenger in one of the cars, police confirmed. The ten individuals who suffered injuries have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
In a news release issued on Tuesday, police urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area to step forward.
